So if you want to test my skills, see if they can be foiled,

Just make sure you only hand me eggs that were hard boiled...

If you happen to see a chicken falling from the sky,
I hope you don't mistake that fowl for your "perfect guy!"

It's a pun-derful life

‘Twas the night that I wrote this, when all through my mind,
Words and phrases were stirring (and some even rhymed!)
My comic was inked on the paper with care,
In hopes that some laughter just might fill the air.

The rest of this poem was all snug in my head,
Until visions of sugar-plums danced there instead.
So to wrap this up quick, I’ll exclaim with delight,
"Happy first day of Winter, and have a good night!"
