From school, Wy brought home a controller he'd made 

Which inspired the comic for this Mother’s Day! 

Love Letters

 

Wylie is learning to write his letters
And I can’t imagine any place better
To find inspiration for Valentine’s Day
Then my son, who wins my heart every day!

Six Sticks

 

Wylie turned 6! We love going for nature walks together and picking up sticks.

By any Other Name

 

Whether he picks a plain dandelion,

Buttercup, bindweed, or thistle while smilin’

A flower for me that my thoughtful son chose

Will always smell just as sweet as a rose!

Costume Tolerance over Time

 

First he was a dragon, crawling on the floor
Then he was lion, with a little roar
An elephant was next, though he did protest
So in 2023, we clearly should have guessed
That even though he'd picked it out
He wouldn't wear Marshall; instead, a pout
But this year, we have a glimmer of hope
As Wylie’s costume is simply a coat*!
So here’s wishing you happy tricks and/or treats,
With costumes (or not) and plenty of sweets!

*and mayyyyybe a hat

Father Nature

He‘s swashbuckled his way through invasive plants, 

Showing Wylie the steps to give natives a chance. 

He’s a hero of nature, and super Dad, too,

Dear Brandon (slash “Dada”) this day is for you!

 

A Lass

I brought home a gizmo from work just one time…

Henceforth and forever I’ll be paying the fine!

This car is red

Others are blue

I think puns are a gas

And I hope you do, too!

Trick or Treat?

 Wylie is going as Marshall this year

(Assuming that dressing up doesn’t cause tears)

And while he would like treats, I wouldn’t pooh-pooh

A magician performing a neat trick or two!
