Fire(works) burn and cauldron bubble

My lobster, 'tis of Thee,
Sweet clawed beast from the sea,
Of thee I sing;

You don’t want to be food
So keep those bug eyes glued
To that pot, or you’re stewed..
Let the dinner bell ring!

America's got what?

My country, 'tis of thee,
Sweet land of weird TV,
of thee I rhyme.

Land where the 'talent' is,
That's what they call show biz...

In any case, I hope your 4th is one of a kind!

Hence Forth

Here's hoping your fourth is packed with a lot
of cookouts and ice cream and pies made of cherry,
And that you are able to find a great spot
to watch fireworks, like up in an aerie.

4th of July 2009

I'm off to cross the country (my country 'tis of thee),
To see some states I haven't seen, like Kansas and Missouri.

The 66 will take us through the "land of Pilgram's pride"
while freedom rings as I won't have my iBook by my side!

Fourth of July

I cannot believe it's already July!
Spring here in Boston always seems to fly by.
But I guess with the Celtics' spectacular scores,

And the restaurants' wide open patio doors,
It's no wonder I haven't kept track of the time.

...SO, while my comic has little to do with this rhyme,
I wish you a Fourth that's an absolute blast!

Let's hope it's not over and done with so fast...

(Coincidentally, I'll be in NYC this year for the 4th. But I'll be driving, so I can bring my torch if I darn well please.)

July 4th 2007

This comic was coincidentally created shortly before, little did I know, my parents acquired an 8-week old black lab pup. Apparently, though, he does just fine without a leash.
