All through the house...

There's a bundle of sweets that I dream of all year,
With Christmas upon us, it's time they appear.

Pizzelles—how crispy! Torrone, so apropos...
Ambrosia like clouds, wandi like a bow!

Now away to the kitchen I must swiftly dash
Before all the desserts are gone in a flash!

Heading into Halloween

Inspired by my new pursuit

(And hankering for candied loot)

On this nearing Day of the Dead

I'm looking forward to what's ahead!

Foiled Again!

Pastel M&Ms, rainbow jelly beans,

Marshmallow Peeps and Cadbury Cremes

Are straightforward candies with nothing to hide,

Genuine sweets with no will to misguide.

But that mystery chocolate all covered in foil?

All I can know is: it's not been hard boiled.

Is it milk chocolate? Caramel? So much in doubt!

I guess I'll just have to give in and find out...

Buried and bound under 6 feet of snow,
