It's a pun-derful life

‘Twas the night that I wrote this, when all through my mind,
Words and phrases were stirring (and some even rhymed!)
My comic was inked on the paper with care,
In hopes that some laughter just might fill the air.

The rest of this poem was all snug in my head,
Until visions of sugar-plums danced there instead.
So to wrap this up quick, I’ll exclaim with delight,
"Happy first day of Winter, and have a good night!"

is absolutely great,

And that your pumpkin pie 

is not far from your plate!

America's got what?

My country, 'tis of thee,

Sweet land of weird TV,

of thee I rhyme.

Land where the 'talent' is,

That's what they call show biz...

In any case, I hope your 4th is one of a kind!

All's fair in love and boar

If you can't tell the difference between chocolate and fungi,

You could hire a pig, who would certainly come by

To sniff things out amply and give you the facts...

But keep in mind that both are (likely) aphrodesiacs!
