Shhheaster

Let's say you're a pig farmer on the way to sell your stock
But you have not one more swine and so you cannot walk the talk
You might just fill your sack with something other than a pig
Hoping that not one buyer will catch you in your jig
But if a faint "meow" does raise someone's red flag
Then your impostor pig has been let out of the bag.

And if you're a voting member of a club in ancient Greece,
You use a colored bean to cast your vote to keep the peace,
White for "yes" and brown for "no," placed in a secret jar,
That way new members never know how many votes there are.
Unless, of course, you happen to knock over the bean pot
In which case your own membership will likely soon be not.

And so concludes my tutelage on idioms today;
Here's hoping that your cat and (jelly) beans don't get away!
